The snow continued to slowly melt into March. Here Stickle Tarn is showing a partial reflection due to a patchy covering of ice.

	More snow and strong winds, combined with continued cold weather made for difficult conditions on the hill. Many walkers without crampons were caught out by the ice and had to turn back. Left is the shelter and summit cairn on Whernside, whilst below left and right are some interesting effects caused by the conditions. Bottom is a view of Ingleborough caught in partial sunshine from Whernside.

Hotel Meet - Fort William
20 members spent five nights in the Alexandra Hotel in Fort William. The weather was superb with no rain, but cold and often sunny. On the hills there was plenty of snow but with 60 mph winds and the avalanche forecast at 'considerable', opportunities for time on the high tops were limited. 	Second day, Tuesday: Sgurr na h-Eanchainne - 791m. A superb viewpoint above the Corran ferry in Ardgour.

Third day, Wednesday: Hugh, Roger, and Fred at the head of Loch Shiel by the Glenfinnan monument to Bonny Prince Charlie, with Sgurr Ghiubhsachan in the background. As in the time of Prince Charlie, there was no coffee to be had here as both the visitor centre and the Glenfinnan House Hotel were closed.

Some members ventured onto the gondola that runs up the northern slopes of Aonach Mor. Here is the top station at 2,159ft. The following day, Thursday, the gondola was shut down due to strong winds.
	Final day, Thursday: Cruach Innse - 857m. A Corbett in the Grey Corries.

	The last supper, followed by a few pints of real ale in the Grog and Gruel for 11 members.
